Mr. Jack Milliken has been a member of the Calgary Centre of the RASC for 10 years and is currently the chair of the Centre Observing Group. He is an avid starhopper and has completed the RASC Explore the Universe, Messier, and Finest NGC observing certificate programs and sketched all the objects required in each program. He has started work on the Isabel Williamson Lunar Observing Certificate program and is sketching those requirements as well.
Sketching Workshop - After a very successful first workshop last year the SSSP is pleased to offer a sketching workshop again in 2012. There will be a limit of 20 attendees and since it was oversubscribed last year we would ask that people who attended last year give others a chance this time.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 22:00. The meeting place will be at the Registration Tent in the Meadows Campground.
